SELF-CONTAINED BIOLOGICAL INDICATORS DESCRIPTION ✅ Plastic Pipe and Cap A perforated cap allows the sterilizing agent to penetrate the indicator. A filter paper placed between the pipe and cap prevents contamination. ✅ Crushable Media Ampule Contains modified culture medium with a pH indicator and fluorogenic substrates. The medium changes color from Purple to Yellow in the presence of bacterial growth. ✅ Inoculated Carrier Geobacillus stearothermophilus ATCC 7953 is located at the bottom, closed end of the pipe. ✅ LBH020 Rapid Biological Indicator Delivers fluorescence test results within 20 minutes when used with an automatic reader at 56-60°C with an accuracy of ≥97%. Offers an optional 48-hour incubation to visually confirm the stability or color change of the culture medium. ✅ Type 1 Chemical Indicator The external label on the plastic pipe includes a chemical indicator strip, providing immediate identification of sterilization exposure. |
